Gabriel Bordeleau and Marcelin Cantin are the directors of the Karaté Sportif Laval-Ouest school. Gabriel is a 6th dan black belt in karate and Marcelin is one of the founding members of Groupe Karaté Sportif.
Through its martial arts training, the Karaté Sportif group encourages the development of self-respect, respect for others, perseverance and self-discipline. According to Gabriel and Marcelin, practising sport karate also develops a sense of honesty and kindness in the students at their school.
